Sorry to hear you're backing out. Sometimes it's the best thing to listen to our intuition, though - sometimes we kinda know things without knowing we know them, if that makes any sense.
Indie coffee shops are OK (live music, alcohol, etc), but I could walk into an Evil Corporate Coffee Shop here in Vermont, in Tennessee, or in North Dakota, and know that the coffee will taste good (and what it'll taste like), that the wifi will be free, and that there'll be someplace to plug in my computer. And that refills are on the house. So I'm open-minded in my coffee drinking, but very curmudgeonly and set in my ways.

I get what you're saying about the coffee shops. I've never been to one with alcohol, but I've always lived in dry counties. And I also haven't really been to one with live music, but I probably was just at the wrong times. But I can totally respect the going to a chain.
